About the Architect
Renowned golf course architect, John Fought, brings his expertise back to Alpine Country Club for our latest renovation. Having previously led a hole redesign in 2008 and a bunker renovation in 2018, Fought has played a key role in shaping Alpine's course over the years, enhancing our course's playability and strategic depth.
A BYU graduate and former U.S. Amateur champion and PGA Tour professional, Fought began his design career alongside Bob Cupp, contributing to award-winning courses like Big Sky, Crosswater, Pumpkin Ridge, and Rush Creek. With a deep understanding of classic design principles and modern construction, his work has earned national recognition, hosting over 90 championships since 1996. His expertise and attention to detail continue to make a lasting impact on golf course architecture across North America.
Fought's vision for Alpine honors its traditions while elevating the playing experience for generations to come.
